The Modern Solution for Testing Requirements and Test Adapters

Why 3D Printing for Test Adapter Solutions

Additive manufacturing offers significant advantages over conventional methods: it enables the rapid production of complex geometries, reduces material waste, and allows flexible adaptation to individual requirements. 3D printing is the ideal solution—especially for test adapters, which are often required in small quantities with high precision. Even for larger production runs, it delivers impressive efficiency, repeatability, and short production times.

How Our Test Adapters Are Designed and Manufactured

1. Design with CAD

Our development process begins with digital design. Using state-of-the-art CAD software, we design test adapters that are precisely tailored to our customers’ requirements and testing environments.

2. Choice of materials

Depending on the application, we select suitable materials—such as heat-resistant plastics, electrically insulating materials, or highly durable filaments for components subject to mechanical stress.

3. Manufacturing using the MJF process

For the 3D-printed components of our test adapters, we primarily use the dsa MJF process. It offers high dimensional accuracy and short production times—ideal for prototypes, small-batch production, and custom solutions.

4. Post-processing and Assembly

After printing, mechanical finishing is carried out (e.g., fitting contacts, springs, or mounts). This results in ready-to-use test adapters that can be seamlessly integrated directly into the production line.
